For players ready for team commitment, our Development Pathway offers assessment-led progression into competitive fixtures and advanced tactical training.

WHAT TO EXPECT
COMMUNITY BASKETBALL
Welcoming open sessions where children and young people can develop fundamental basketball skills, confidence, teamwork and enjoyment.
WHO IT IS FOR
Players who are new to basketball, returning to the sport or looking to develop through regular coached activity.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Sessions may include a structured warm-up, ball-handling, passing, shooting, movement, decision-making and small-sided games.
WHAT TO BRING
Suitable sports clothing, appropriate trainers and a filled water bottle. Any additional requirements will be confirmed by the club.
REGISTRATION
Parents and carers should use the approved registration or enquiry route. Current places, times, venues and suitability are confirmed by the club.
CHOOSE YOUR PATHWAY
Community basketball focuses on inclusive fundamentals and enjoyment. The Development Pathway offers assessment-led progression into selected team basketball. To ask which route suits your child, use “Contact the club about joining” below.
AGES 6-7
Focused on introducing the ball, basic coordination, and falling in love with the game.
AGES 8-9
Build basketball skills, confidence and teamwork. Selected team entry depends on assessment and availability.
AGES 10-11
Community Basketball and selected team pathways offer different ways to develop. Check current eligibility and availability.
AGES 12-13
Continue developing through Community Basketball or selected team training, subject to eligibility and availability.
AGES 14-17
Continue developing through Community Basketball or selected team training, subject to eligibility and availability.

COMMUNITY: FUNDAMENTALS & DEVELOPMENT
Our Community sessions focus on building a strong foundation of core basketball skills while fostering individual growth. We believe that development starts with confidence and fun, ensuring every player learns to love the game through structured skill-building, teamwork, and active participation. Whether they are picking up a ball for the first time or looking to refine their technique, our environment encourages every wolf to reach their potential.
YOUR SESSION EXPERIENCE

WARM WELCOME
Arrive 10 minutes early to check in with our lead coach and get introduced to the group.

SKILL INTRO
We'll pair you with a buddy to help you through the fundamentals and standard drills.
03.
GAME PLAY
Most sessions end with low-pressure matches to practice what you've learned in game situations.
04.
DEBRIEF
A quick group chat at the end to highlight progress and set goals for the next session.
